The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After my Master's work at Penn State and graduation in August 1959, I married Edward Frank Wilgocki. Both of us taught and lived in the suburban Philadelphia area -- he in languages and I, in music. We had an opportunity to move to the Chicago area in 1967 and have been here ever since. Our two children, Jennifer Lynne Wilgocki of Dane, Wisconsin and Rev. Victoria Wilgocki of Minneapolis, Minnesota are employed as child and family therapist and pastor, respectively. Victoria is married and has two children, Noah and Truman. After a five-month struggle, Frank died of leukemia in 1986. I remarried in 1993 to Allan Hins, a nuclear metallurgist at Argonne National Laboratory. We both are extremely active in the music world of suburban Chicago -- church and community. After 22 years of teaching in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois(all grades), I moved into the area of church music ministry and am still employed today. I also direct a community chorus, Village Voices and play in a harp circle of six harpists. I served on a national committee for American Guild of English Handbell Ringers and was the Illinois State Chair for four years. Hello out there to any of you folks from the 1958-1959 era! Blessings, Marilyn Elkins Wilgocki
